This page explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on this site, how your consent is stored, and how you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It can help the site remember your preferences, keep you secure, or understand how visitors use the site. We only use cookies that are either necessary for the site to work, or that you have explicitly agreed to.
2. Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They cover:
- hCaptcha — the contact form uses hCaptcha to protect against spam and abuse. hCaptcha may set a cookie or read stored data to verify the request. Without this, the form cannot be submitted securely.
- Cookie consent — we store a record of your consent decision so the banner does not reappear on every visit and so your preference is respected across pages.
3. Analytics cookies
With your permission, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages riders find useful and how they move through the site. Analytics is used on an anonymous basis with IP anonymisation enabled. It is not used to identify you personally or to show advertising.
Analytics is currently:
Off by default. It only loads after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner or enable Analytics in the Settings panel.
4. How consent is stored and withdrawn
Your consent decision is stored locally in your browser using localStorage (not a server-side database). It contains:
- Whether you accepted or declined Analytics
- The date and time of your decision
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the button below. The banner will reopen and you can update your choice. Declining Analytics stops the Google Analytics script from loading on future visits.
5. Data sharing and retention
We do not sell your data. Information submitted through the contact form is used only to respond to your enquiry and arrange your ride. Google Analytics data is handled by Google under its own privacy policy. LocalStorage consent data remains on your device until you clear your browser data or update your choice.
6. Your rights
Under Swiss FADP and EU GDPR, you can ask what information we hold about you, request corrections or deletion, and object to processing. To make a request, contact us through the form on the home page.
7. Changes
This page may be updated if we change our use of cookies or add new tools. The effective date is shown below.
